The "problem" you descibe is one that can either be partially solved by turning off AIN, or ignoring it. You could also use the HDD's brand-specific diagnostic tool or a third-party alternative to determine the health and SMART status. Just Google this issue and see how many people don't know it's this simple polling issue. Ask !
