(Yet Another) Graphics Card Help Thread

First glance seems to tell me that nVidia is a better choice for what I want at the moment but I'm open to suggestion. It would be really nice to get noise down to boot so I am really thinking the 1060 is the card to go with in this situation, but reviews are showing I have a 1070 FE blower style, that doesn't have a thermal problem. Intel i7 series processors are sooooo sex. It only happens with Mad Max.

When you do need to upgrade, you won't necessarily have to upgrade every part, just the ones that matter for performance or connectivity. now y'all opinion on these PC..I'm not computer savvy and looking for a new PC.these are w/in my budget limit...hopefully link works..can y'all get me YaY or NaY..let me know http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006736%20600030537&IsNodeId=1&page=2&bop=And&CompareItemList=10|83-229-193^83-229-193-TS%2C83-229-167^83-229-167-TS%2C83-227-267^83-227-267-TS%2C83-227-176^83-227-176-TS%2C83-227-261^83-227-261-TSThe I am leaning pretty heavily towards the Sapphire card, but I bet as soon as I buy it NV releases a 1060Ti.Click to expand... https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/307725-Yet-another-quot-Looking-for-GPU-upgrade-opinions-quot-thread Stay logged in Sign up now!

You have to match the motherboard pin settings/shell type. In all the time I have my rig watercooled I have NEVER seen my radiator fans running at 100% and my GPU reaching temperatures that make my bios turning off the Problem here is vista eats a lot of resources up on its own. If one of those cards drops even further to $220-225, it's going to be the deal of Holiday 2015 as far as GPUs go. $160 for a 960 is nothing special

The main gripe is that it's not mono-black with gold trim, heh. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127898 or the EVGA gtx960 FTW, whisper silent, with backplate, 4gb for 189$, plus a 20$ rebate. 169$. But anyway as I was perusing the 1060's on Newegg I see a few "mini" cards, wide like a double slot card but short like my 750, which would fit perfectly If anything supports the reprojection stuff they put in the 1070 it might make a meaningful difference, but I'm not sure anything does yet. 1080 would be a step up, but

I can run high stress benchmarks and my GPU never even comes close to such high temperatures.I am quite frustrated, because as long as I don't find a way to fix The i3 is actually a nice price for what it is... Please check out our forum guidelines for info related to our community. If it's going ballistic in other systems then it may be that your 780 is going out with a bang. As you can tell, gaming graphics were not the top priority. you didn't.

If you want to run ultra on every game, then buy this bang for the buck video card. Scored a 638 on the benchmark, i'm guessing I need a new graphics card(inb4 you need new everything lolnoob)? I take my time shopping, and have not problem waiting on sales, looking into refurbs, etc.

Thats another route you could possibly look into.

There is a Gigabyte card that will fit easily and an Asus that will require just a touch of finesse. My computer still runs fine, I don't have any viruses, and the speed of it seems to have stayed relatively the same as when I got it. I would never run another AMD processor without something like Everest constantly running to make sure that heat doesn't go above 70c.

If yes show me the link ,not a wall of text and graphs from some foreign website. And yes, I understand about replacing a graphics card in a laptop, it's definitely not worth the time and money. /sigh, oh well, guess I need to start working on building I'll just get to the point. Times change...

If you save up an extra 400-500$ you could easily make it much more powerful and last 4-5 years easy. This happens even when I start the game and stay in the start menu![/] I don't even need to start the game itself! it can do 4K 60hz via HDMI 2.0. It definitely should be fine for 4+ years, assuming you have an SSD that you didn't mention. Bought a AGP graphics card off eBay. Thread Status: Not open for further replies.

The cards all sit around the same price and reviews show the 1060 6GB cards coming close to the R9 fury/980Ti with an overclock, the 480's seem pretty maxed out when These will only last you about 1-2 years on full usefulness. Very Happy with that. As an example i watch HD television on my TV tuner... 2 copys of FFXI running seeking party... I'd prefer to play XIV on a PC, even at medium settings. Case: Corsair 500r Power Supply: Antec 850 Mouse: Logitec G502 Keyboard: a cheap dell given a choice its between the sapphire 480 and the asus 1060 ( for your theme).

Also all of the 480's come with a free copy of BF1 Deluxe. The main games I tend to play are TF2, Mount and Blade, Battlefield 4, Payday, Elder Scrolls, Total War series (Not Rome II :P) and so on.
